Neighbors standing ready for neighbors. The Weinert Volunteer Fire Department answers every call with courage, training, and an unwavering commitment to the community we call home.
The Weinert Volunteer Fire Department is made up of men and women from right here in Wilbarger County. We work ordinary jobs, raise families, and shop at the same stores — but when the alarm sounds, we become something more.
Our department is entirely volunteer-run. Every member trains relentlessly so that when disaster strikes — whether it's a structure fire, a vehicle accident, or a medical emergency — help arrives fast, professionally, and with full commitment. This isn't a second job for us. It's a calling.
From emergency response to fire prevention education, we serve the entire Weinert area with dedication and expertise.
Structural fires, vehicle fires, wildland fire intervention, and hazardous material incidents — we respond to all types of fire emergencies across Wilbarger County.
Our trained volunteers provide first response medical care, CPR, and emergency transport coordination — bridging the critical gap until advanced medical services arrive.
Vehicle extrication, search and rescue, water rescue, and technical rescue — our team is equipped and trained for the most challenging rescue scenarios.
Inspections, safety consultations, smoke detector programs, and community fire safety planning — we work to prevent emergencies before they happen.
School visits, fire station tours, CPR workshops, and disaster preparedness seminars — knowledge saves lives, and we share it freely.
Fire safety coverage for parades, fairs, festivals, and public gatherings throughout the Weinert area — because every event deserves a safe ending.
Weinert isn't just a dot on the map — it's home. Our department exists because people here believe that no one should face an emergency alone. That spirit of mutual care is what drives us every single day.
We partner with local schools, churches, and organizations to build a safer, more prepared community. From youth cadet programs to senior home safety checks, we're invested in the people and places we serve.
"We don't wait for emergencies to connect with our community — we build relationships first, so when the moment comes, there's already trust in place."
